Three of CHEER’s students presented their research to more than 250 attendees at the third-annual Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Computational Symposium in Los Angeles.
Two PhD students from the University of Delaware visited the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) and connected with representatives from the North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association (NCIUA).
Rachel Davidson and Shangjia Dong have been awarded professorships at the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering. Their appointments commence on September 1, 2024.
In July, more than a dozen members of the Hub represented the CHEER team at the 49th Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop in Broomfield, Colorado.
Nearly a dozen members of CHEER traveled to Baltimore to participate in the event, which had the theme “Research-to-Impact: Building Partnerships to Strengthen Community Resilience.”
Six members of the Hub met in California to present their research at UCLA.
