BIOGRAPHY

Nii Otu Tackie-Otoo is a master’s student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Delaware. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Prior to beginning his graduate studies at the University of Delaware, Nii Otu worked in multiple engineering firms where he gained a wide range of work experience in design, data analysis, project management, sales, and business development in diverse engineering fields, not only limited to civil engineering. His leadership abilities have seen him thrive in several professional and student leadership roles.

Nii Otu currently works as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Rachel Davidson, professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a core faculty member in the Disaster Research Center. His research focuses on Natural Disaster Risk and Loss Modeling. He works on a project which is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
