BIOGRAPHY
A graduate student at the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration, the University of Delaware (UD) pursuing a master’s degree majoring in Energy & Environmental Policy. Prior to this, he worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development to assist the Bangladesh government in tailoring policy requirements to ensure informed management of natural resources. He had been all over the biggest mangrove forest on earth leading a team working on assisting the cause of informed conservation of vital mangrove ecosystems like Sundarbans. From 2016-2022, Jawad worked in the non-profit sector in different positions helping him to understand the risk that climate change poses to the vulnerable population in places like Bangladesh and around the world. Currently, he is working as the DRC graduate research assistant on the “Evaluating floodplain buyouts: Understanding how voluntary property acquisitions affect participants” project led by Dr. A.R. Siders.
