BIOGRAPHY
Farshad Hesamfar is a Ph.D. student working under the guidance of Dr. Shangjia Dong. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Discipline of Civil Engineering from the K.N. Toosi University of Technology and his master’s in Civil Engineering-Environment from the Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), titled as the top student of the whole school. While his master’s, he submitted two Q1 journal articles on the evolutionary multi-objective optimization fields and trade-off between different objectives in resource allocation. He is interested in the application of multi-objective evolutionary algorithm to trade-off between equity, efficiency, and environmental preservation. His research interests include trade-off analysis, Sustainable management, Multi-criteria decision-making, Simulation-based multi-objective optimization, and equity-efficiency trade-off. During his Ph.D. at the University of Delaware, he aims to work on the civil infrastructure networked systems and how to trade-off between equity, efficiency, and resiliency of access to infrastructures after disasters.
