DRC is pleased to welcome visiting scholars and officials from around the world who may be interested in using our extensive specialized disaster resource collection, who want to pursue their own research or to work with our faculty and students on collaborative research projects. Long-term visiting scholars can receive a University of Delaware ID card for access to Morris Library (the University's main library on campus), computers, the internet, and parking. For general information, visit UD's Office of International Students & Scholars Information for Visiting Scholars. For specific information about the arrival and orientation process, click here.
Apply to be a DRC visiting scholar!
Applicants who are meeting specific funding deadlines must contact DRC at least three (3) months in advance of the due date. We cannot guarantee that applications submitted within three (3) months will be reviewed and processed in time to meet the deadline.
DRC often receives dozens of requests from students and faculty applying as part of the China Scholarship Council program. To ensure that DRC is accessible to scholars from a broad range of countries, those applying from China for stays over (2) months in duration should apply by October 15th the year prior to the proposed visit.
