Zachary Cox is a PhD student in the Disaster Science and Management program at the University of Delaware where he also works as a Teaching Assistant in the Leadership program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with Honours from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, and a Master of Arts degree in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, Canada. An experienced disaster practitioner, Zac has worked as a Recovery Management Consultant with IBM, as a Research Assistant with Mount Royal University's Center for Community Disaster Research, and volunteered with the Red Cross' Personal Disaster Assistance Response Team. His research interests include business continuity planning, disaster recovery and the sociology of disaster.
