Michelle Woody is a Master of Science student in the Disaster Science and Management program at the University of Delaware where she also works as a Research Assistant in the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from University of Mary Washington, in Fredericksburg, VA. Michelle has worked on several emergency management efforts, including deployments to New Jersey in response to Hurricane Sandy. Most recently she was a Program Manager at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. Her research interests include disaster debris planning, disaster recovery planning, and policy.
