    Biography

    ​Utkarsh is a Ph.D. student working under the guidance of Dr. Shangjia Dong. He joined the Disaster Research Center in the fall of 2021. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Discipline of Civil Engineering with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN). While at IITGN, he was awarded the Director's Gold Medal for outstanding overall performance and Institute Gold Medal for securing the highest cumulative performance index in his discipline. He is interested in the application of network science to build robust systems. His research interests include Networks and Complex Systems, and Critical Infrastructure Resilience. During his Ph.D. at the University of Delaware, he aims to work on the civil infrastructure networked systems and their response to large-scale disasters.
